Bill was an accomplished Nebraskan Journalist, Writer, Disability Rights Advocate, author of Journey Out of Silence and Write with Dignity: A Journalistic Style Guide for Reporting On People With Disabilities. He was a beloved husband, son and brother, and also a recognized church and community leader. Bill was a self-declared “recreational level” chess player, who enjoyed competing in local tournaments and in the Cornhusker State Games. Many of the chapters included in this memoir are taken from a compilation of writings that William Rush had earmarked for inclusion in this, his second book.

Chris is the widow of William L. Rush and an emerging writer through this memoir. Christine currently lives nestled into the trails of the Niagara Escarpment in Ontario, Canada. She appreciates time with her family, friends, and her church and local chorister communities. Often you will find her walking or cycling on the local trails, while also deepening her relationship with God.
